Ānuenue ma Mānoa: Cosmos Relation

Ānuenue connection between cosmos is prevalent in the Hawaiian legend of Kuaihelani. In converging both the land and the heavens, Kuaihelani supports the heavens to “reach the sacred land of Nuʻumealani” known as the heavenly one (Businger 2). It is a celestial path for Hawaiian gods and goddesses to pass through and visit earth.

Like a path carved in the middle of the forest meandering across the lush green trees, the rainbow is a pathway to the heavens.

To get to Nuʻumealani, Kuaihelani transports with the rainbow.

Kuaihelani grasps tight to Kahalaopuna. Kahalaopuna is the gateway to earth and to heaven.
