University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Website

Figma
UX/UI Design
Cascade Content Management System (CMS)
Basic HTML

I spearheaded the complete redesign and transition of our university’s website from WordPress to a new CMS platform, ensuring a user-focused and data-driven approach throughout the process. Created a modern UI/UX design in Figma, conducted research, and collaborated with IT and faculty to transform the website, aligning it with institutional goals and user needs. The project resulted in a fully optimized, accessible, and user-friendly site that reflects our institution's brand and enhances the overall user experience.

Standards for Brand Elements

In order to retain the Universityʻs branding consistency, it was integral to establish a style guide following the institutionʻs visuality. This was imperative to integrate a cohesive UH Mānoa visual design within web assets and components while also ensuring accessibility.

Research and Analytics

To become acclimated to the new digital web space from Wordpress to Cascade, researching through other universities utilizing CMS was integral for reference of layout, navigation, and user-experience for the same demographic.

To support our internal faculty within our institution, I conducted a survey gathering all of our unit’s needs and wants to be able to execute an effective web space.

Experimentation and Prototyping

Through extensive collaboration and researching multiple different university sites, I built assets with units’ suggestions in mind. Along with aesthetics, I experimented with different interactions on certain buttons and components.
